Our wedding was on April 3, 2022 and , if it had not been for bridal party members and family stepping in, Nishy would have made a mess of our special day. The quality of decor Nichelle promises is not up to par with what she actually delivers. To be transparent, we paid about $18,000 for decor elements and, when we arrive don site, we were completely disappointed. Our family members, bridal party, and guests all spoke of how the decor was subpar. Especially considering our theme was so floral-focused. She made executive decisions the day before our wedding, related to decor, and did not run it by me at all. This led to my wedding aisle looking completely different than what we spoke about. She went M.I.A. On us the morning of our wedding. Vendors had to come to me and ask questions that she should have been canvassing. When we landed in Jamaica, she was completely unresponsive. We didn’t even receive an apology for how terrible she made our wedding day. All the vendors she helped us book, except for the makeup artist and videographer (which I vetted on my own) did not deliver on so many items they were contracted to deliver. The DJ didn’t even know our first dance song because Nichelle never communicated it to him. Our florals were not beautiful. When she saw all the inspiration photos I sent her, she made it seems as though everything was doable. Clearly, she could not take on the magnitude and elegance of the decor we asked of. I wish she would’ve simply told us “I can’t do it.” We we’re so very disappointed. No one could see where that $18,000 USD went. And she had an excuse for every single thing that she didn’t do properly. It was incredibly frustrating. A wedding day isn’t something you can redo, which is what makes this so disappointing. Nishy never took accountability for her errors. She even messaged us days after the wedding as asked for us to send her our professional photos if we wanted for be featured in munaluchi bride. We didn’t answer the email because I don’t want other brides to have to experience what I experienced. My husband was completely let down by the decor as well. It’s a day we had dreamed of for years, and it ended up being such a mess. As aforementioned, what saved it was our bridal party being so gracious and takin on the role of MC, when the MC she suggested could not do the job. And our bridal party was prepared to even find an aux and play their own music because the DJ was not prepared. Thankfully, the DJ apologized and told us that so much information was not give to him (circling back to Nishy). Everything about our wedding weekend (transportation that was booked, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception) would have been better if Nishy just did her job. Unfortunately she did not. If I hadn’t booked my own photographer and wedding gown before even booking nishy, I know I would have been even more upset because her recommendations are not that great. We even instructed our photographer to not tag her in any posts because of the whole experience. He agreed without a second thought because it was clear to everyone that she dropped the ball.
