Our wedding was on April 3, 2022 and , if it had not been for bridal party members and family stepping in, Nishy would have made a mess of our special day. The quality of decor Nichelle promises is not up to par with what she actually delivers. To be transparent, we paid about $18,000 for decor elements and, when we arrive don site, we were completely disappointed. Our family members, bridal party, and guests all spoke of how the decor was subpar. Especially considering our theme was so floral-focused. She made executive decisions the day before our wedding, related to decor, and did not run it by me at all. This led to my wedding aisle looking completely different than what we spoke about. She went M.I.A. On us the morning of our wedding. Vendors had to come to me and ask questions that she should have been canvassing. When we landed in Jamaica, she was completely unresponsive. We didn’t even receive an apology for how terrible she made our wedding day. All the vendors she helped us book, except for the makeup artist and videographer (which I vetted on my own) did not deliver on so many items they were contracted to deliver. The DJ didn’t even know our first dance song because Nichelle never communicated it to him. Our florals were not beautiful. When she saw all the inspiration photos I sent her, she made it seems as though everything was doable. Clearly, she could not take on the magnitude and elegance of the decor we asked of. I wish she would’ve simply told us “I can’t do it.” We we’re so very disappointed. No one could see where that $18,000 USD went. And she had an excuse for every single thing that she didn’t do properly. It was incredibly frustrating. A wedding day isn’t something you can redo, which is what makes this so disappointing. Nishy never took accountability for her errors. She even messaged us days after the wedding as asked for us to send her our professional photos if we wanted for be featured in munaluchi bride. We didn’t answer the email because I don’t want other brides to have to experience what I experienced. My husband was completely let down by the decor as well. It’s a day we had dreamed of for years, and it ended up being such a mess. As aforementioned, what saved it was our bridal party being so gracious and takin on the role of MC, when the MC she suggested could not do the job. And our bridal party was prepared to even find an aux and play their own music because the DJ was not prepared. Thankfully, the DJ apologized and told us that so much information was not give to him (circling back to Nishy). Everything about our wedding weekend (transportation that was booked, rehearsal, ceremony, and reception) would have been better if Nishy just did her job. Unfortunately she did not. If I hadn’t booked my own photographer and wedding gown before even booking nishy, I know I would have been even more upset because her recommendations are not that great. We even instructed our photographer to not tag her in any posts because of the whole experience. He agreed without a second thought because it was clear to everyone that she dropped the ball.

We got married at here the weekend before Christmas and it was perfect! It was the first venue we looked at - after visiting and discussing what we wanted with their team we cancelled all other viewings and looked no further! In the 7 months between booking and the big day the staff was incredibly helpful and no additional wedding planner was needed. We had two further wedding meetings before the big day, and our contacts happily and quickly responded to our many questions.

Although we chose the venue because its decor and grounds speak for themselves, we inevitably ended up collecting our own decorative touches along the way which we dropped off (along with a hefty selection of wines) the day before. The day itself went off without a glitch. Throughout the staff at the venue were faultlessly friendly with all, and the day moved seamlessly along in a wonderful blur. This venue was absolutely the most perfect choice for our wedding day. So many of our guests commented on what a great venue we’d chosen – lovely and spacious inside (with the gorgeous garden and grounds outside). The team at made us feel welcome as soon as we met them, and were very accommodating and understanding of our every request, even some of our more random suggestions. In fact they were so enthusiastic about our wedding it actually felt more like organizing it with a close friend. The day went off without a hitch, they decorated (and even more importantly, packed away for us) and made sure that all our little touches and details were carried out exactly as we imagined. We fell in love with the venue on our first visit, as we wanted a chance to get married and be outside, with lots of great indoor space too. The staff was clearly well versed in organizing wedding, all our requests were taken in account and the team helped us massively with the order of the day and general planning. Once all was delivered, they set everything up and managed the day so well that we literally had nothing to do on our wedding day but enjoy ourselves and take it all in. Spanish Court Hotel is more than a wedding venue, it feels like it was built with love just for you. We knew we would book Spanish Court as soon as we walked through the entrance to! The staff was great throughout the whole process.

I always thought finding the perfect venue was going to be a challenge, however this one was the only one we needed to see. After looking on the website, it was clear that not only was it an idyllic setting, it also had everything we needed. I could have left it just as it was with no additional flowers or decoration and it would have always been enough. It is just a gorgeous place to be, with the loveliest atmosphere. As soon as we walked in, we knew this was the place for us. It was perfect! The scariest part of visiting any venue, is worrying that it will be totally out of price range, when you love it as much as we did. However, the venue is without a doubt the most reasonably priced venue you will ever find. There are no hidden tricks; when you book with them you get exactly what you see. I don’t even know where to begin, the moment we viewed the venue we fell in love with it and knew it was where we wanted to get married.. We knew it was perfect for us- and so we chose to move our wedding back a few months to secure a place. The setting is so beautiful and perfect for so many wonderful photo opportunities, we had been to weddings in the past that had come to a stand still and a lull due to the couple disappearing for hours to get the perfect pictures at a different location. You can have incredible pictures without having to leave the comfort of the venue. From the moment we viewed the venue the customer service was impeccable and we were made to feel special and important in every way by the team and not like we were just another wedding.

Where do I start.. so many amazing things about this place to name a few and believe me there is a whole lot more.. The whole venue is amazing and situated in a beautiful setting. The staff is amazing nothing was ever a issue and she always made sure the wedding party and guest were ok and not wanting for anything. Used this guy to make our wedding cake last year. It was a disaster. The cake looked nothing like the picture we had submitted of what we wanted. Infact, the finish was distasteful, looked like a used tyre. We felt cheated since we had happily paid what he had requested to deliver a beautiful cake.

We can’t thank Ikon Media enough for his work, and we can’t stop watching the video! Communication was quick and easy, and he was enthusiastic about our additional request to do some interviews with our guests, which resulted in some hilarious footage! The speeches and ceremony are also crystal clear and the highlight film is expertly edited. After seeing the raw footage, we are in awe of their skills. They perfectly captured how happy and joyful our wedding day was.
